Η ομάδα πίσω από τα Ορόνυμα εξερευνά τις συγχρόνως γεωμετρικές και μεταφυσικές ιδιότητες της ποιητικής λειτουργίας και το κάτα πόσο η μετάφραση ή επανατοποθέτηση της ποίησης από ένα μέσο σε ένα άλλο είναι εφικτή. Ξεκινώντας από γενικούς ορισμούς της ποίησης, τα Ορονυμα επιχειρούν να κατασκευάσουν μεθοδολογικά σχήματα intertextual επικοινωνίας που πηδά από μέσο σε μέσο και από γλώσσα σε γλώσσα. Σκοπός η δημιουργία ενός ανοιχτού γλωσσικού συστήματος, που από τη μια δεν περιορίζει την εξπρεσσιονιστική δύναμη και προσωπική έκφραση, αλλά από την άλλη επιχειρεί μια συναισθητική συναισθηματική επικοινωνία με τον δέκτη.

Η πρώτη δουλειά του σχήματος, το αλμπουμ „Κίτρινο“, που θα κυκλοφορήσει στη ΦΤΝ το 2014, βασίζεται σε κείμενα του αμερικάνου imagist ποιητή William Carlos Williams. Πολλά από τα κείμενα που χρησιμοποιούνται γι΄αυτό το πρότζεκτ μεταφράζονται για πρώτη φορά στα ελληνικά. Μέσα από μια σειρά πειραμάτων, τα Ορόνυμα χτίζουν ηχοτόπια, αλλά και εικόνες που προσπαθούν να παραλληρίσουν τον συνάμα λιτό αλλά και εκστατικό κόσμο του ποιητή με άλλους τρόπους έκφρασης και να τον φέρουν σε ένα μετα-τεχνολογικό παρόν.

The team behind Oronyma explores the equally metaphysical and geometrical properties of the poetic function and whether the translation or repositioning of poetry from one medium to another is possible at all. Starting from general definitions of poetry, Oronyma attempt to construct methodological schemata of intertextual communication that jumps from one medium to another and from one language to another. The aim here is to create an open linguistic system, which on the one hand does not limit expressionist abilities and personal deliverance, but on the other it attempts a synesthetic, affective communication with the receiver.

Their first piece, the album „Yellow“, to be released in 2014 FTN, is based on texts by American imagist poet William Carlos Williams. Many of the texts used for this project are translated for the first time in Greek. Through a series of experiments, Oronyma build soundscapes and images that attempt to parallel what is the simultaneiously simple and ecstatic world of the poet with other modes of expression and to transport his words to a post-technological present.
